Data collections

Although all data collections presented there can be installed manually, author recommends to use Spatial Aspect Map Locator for such tasks, which also provides top-level project files for all planets.

Also author provides recommendations about organizing archives of such data on your computer.

All data collections are provided in proprietary compressed formats of author and subdivided by planets as following archives:

Earth:

All vector layers. This archive contains water resources, including oceans, seas, lakes, rivers and canals from Digital Chart of the World (DCW) and streams network from Gtopo30 Hydro data.
Low resolution DEM. This archive contains data based on GTOPO30 project.
High resolution DEM. This archive contains data from Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM) with 3” resolution.
Low resolution DEM with bathymetry. This archive contains data based on SRTM30 Plus compilation of UCSD.
DEM of Antarctica. This archive contains data from GTOPO30 project.
Land cover. This archive contains raster data for Olson Global Ecosystems characteristics from Global Land Cover Characteristics (GLCC) database.

Moon:

All vector layers. This archive contains nomenclature features from Gazetteer of Planetary Nomenclature of International Astronomical Union (IAU).
DEM with resolution 1/256°. This archive contains data of Lunar Orbiter Laser Altimeter (LOLA) instrument of Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) mission.
North Pole DEM. This archive contains multi-resolution data of LOLA instrument, utilizing data resolution from 100m to 5m.
South Pole DEM. This archive contains multi-resolution data of LOLA instrument, utilizing data resolution from 100m to 5m.
Albedo with resolution 1/10°. This archive contains albedo data of LOLA instrument.
North Pole Albedo. This archive contains albedo data of LOLA instrument with resolution 1000m.
South Pole Albedo. This archive contains albedo data of LOLA instrument with resolution 1000m.

Mars:

All vector layers. This archive contains nomenclature features from Gazetteer of Planetary Nomenclature of International Astronomical Union (IAU).
DEM with resolution 1/128°. This archive contains data of Mars Orbiter Laser Altimeter (MOLA) instrument of Mars Global Surveyor (MGS) mission.
North Pole DEM. This archive contains multi-resolution data of MOLA instrument, utilizing data resolution from 460m to 115m.
South Pole DEM. This archive contains multi-resolution data of MOLA instrument, utilizing data resolution from 460m to 115m.

Venus:

All vector layers. This archive contains nomenclature features from Gazetteer of Planetary Nomenclature of International Astronomical Union (IAU).
DEM with resolution 45/1024°. This archive contains data of Global Topography Data Record of Magellan mission.
North Pole DEM. This archive contains data of Global Topography Data Record of Magellan mission with resolution 4641m.
South Pole DEM. This archive contains data of Global Topography Data Record of Magellan mission with resolution 4641m.

Mercury:

All vector layers. This archive contains nomenclature features from Gazetteer of Planetary Nomenclature of International Astronomical Union (IAU).
Global DEM. This archive contains refactored data of Mercury Double Imaging System (MDIS) DEM of MESSENGER mission with resolution 1/64°.
North Pole DEM. This archive contains data of MDIS DEM with resolution 665m.
South Pole DEM. This archive contains data of MDIS DEM with resolution 665m.
North Hemisphere DEM with resolution 1/64°. This archive contains data of Mercury Laser Altimeter (MLA) instrument of MESSENGER mission.
High resolution North Pole DEM. This archive contains data of MLA instrument with resolution 250m.

For case of using manual installation, you need top-level project files, which provided in following archive:

Default scheme of data repository. This archive contains folder relational hierarchy with top-level project files for all planets and descriptors for places of particular installation.
